REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 10, 1992 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 901 W. THOMAS TO 925 <br />WASHINGTON STREET <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of a Memorandum <br />from Mr. Donald F. Fozo, Building Commissioner, submitting <br />copies of a request received from Lykowski Construction, Inc., <br />21707 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, to move a house <br />from 901 West Thomas to 929 Washington Street on August 19, 1992 <br />with an alternate date of August 20, 1992. Mr. Fozo noted that <br />he also submits releases from utility companies, the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting, Police Department, Water Works and Street <br />Department. Also, a foundation permit has been issued for the <br />new location and all zoning requirements are being met according <br />to the site plan submitted to the Building Department. <br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller noted that the <br />Certificate of Insurance as required pursuant to ordinance <br />requirements which has been submitted is not in the appropriate <br />amounts and needs a slight change. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made <br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request to <br />move this house be approved subject to the appropriate <br />Certificate of Insurance being submitted to the Board of Public <br />Works prior to a Moving Permit being issued by the Building <br />Department. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE UTILITY AGREEMENTS - NIMTZ PARKWAY EXTENSION <br />RECONSTRUCTION <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, <br />submitted to the Board Utility Agreements with the following five <br />(5) utility companies concerning the Nimtz Parkway Extension <br />reconstruction project and recommended approval: <br />1. Indiana Michigan Power Company <br />2. Northern Indiana Public Service Company <br />3. South Bend Department of Public Works <br />4. South Bend Water Works <br />5. Indiana Bell Telephone Company <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Agreements be approved and <br />executed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mr. Leslie Buchanan, Jr., Administrative Services Director, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, submitted to the Board his <br />recommendations for bid awards for abandoned vehicles as opened <br />by the Board on August 3, 1992.
