REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 10, 1992 APPROVE REQUEST TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 901 W. THOMAS TO 925 WASHINGTON STREET Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of a Memorandum from Mr. Donald F. Fozo, Building Commissioner, submitting copies of a request received from Lykowski Construction, Inc., 21707 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, to move a house from 901 West Thomas to 929 Washington Street on August 19, 1992 with an alternate date of August 20, 1992. Mr. Fozo noted that he also submits releases from utility companies, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department, Water Works and Street Department. Also, a foundation permit has been issued for the new location and all zoning requirements are being met according to the site plan submitted to the Building Department. Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller noted that the Certificate of Insurance as required pursuant to ordinance requirements which has been submitted is not in the appropriate amounts and needs a slight change. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request to move this house be approved subject to the appropriate Certificate of Insurance being submitted to the Board of Public Works prior to a Moving Permit being issued by the Building Department. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE UTILITY AGREEMENTS - NIMTZ PARKWAY EXTENSION RECONSTRUCTION Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, submitted to the Board Utility Agreements with the following five (5) utility companies concerning the Nimtz Parkway Extension reconstruction project and recommended approval: 1. Indiana Michigan Power Company 2. Northern Indiana Public Service Company 3. South Bend Department of Public Works 4. South Bend Water Works 5. Indiana Bell Telephone Company Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Agreements be approved and executed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. AWARD BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Mr. Leslie Buchanan, Jr., Administrative Services Director, Department of Code Enforcement, submitted to the Board his recommendations for bid awards for abandoned vehicles as opened by the Board on August 3, 1992.
