REGULAR MEETING MAY 4, 1992 I :A: 1 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 1992, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. Mary H. Mueller present. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on April 27, 1992 were approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 18-1992 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller advised that submitted to the Board today is a Resolution transferring seventy-five (75) parcels of property from St. Joseph County to the City of South Bend. Mrs. Mueller noted that these parcels are located in Community Development and Economic Development areas. Further, the County has passed a similar Resolution transferring these properties to the City and the Deeds are expected this week. Mrs. Mueller further noted that some of these parcels will be transferred to the Department of Economic Development and Neighborhood Housing. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution No. 18-1992 was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 18-1992 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana, (hereinafter, the "County") is the owner of various parcels of land within the City of South Bend, which were obtained by the County pursuant to the tax sale process; and WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of County real estate is vested in the County's Board of Commissioners pursuant to I.C. 36-2-3.5-4; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter, the "City") desires to obtain ownership of 75 such parcels of property for community and economic development purposes, which parcels are described more particularly as follows: Key Number 18-7002-0071 18-7004-016301 18-7006-0212 18-7007-0217 18-7008-0330 18-7009-0353 Address 207 Keasey 237 Paris 1223 Carroll 1218 Carroll 415 Keasey 624 Ohio Legal Lot 19 Keasey Addn N 1/2 Lot 53 Elder Pl 44 Ft N End Lot K Elder Place 43 1/3 Ft S End Lot 89 Elder P1 Lot 32 Kirby's Addn Tri Pc SW Cor Lot 33 Wenger & Kreighbaum Addn
