It is
noted that Mr. Crosier has applied for this license in order to
conduct a Gun and Outdoor Show on January 15, 1994 from 9:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. and on January 16, 1994 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
at the Century Center, South Bend, Indiana.
Mr. Ron Cholasinski, 25190 Adams Road, South Bend, Indiana, was
present, representing Mr. Richard Crosier, d/b/a Northern Indiana
Gun & Outdoor Shows, Inc., and inquired the purpose of the license
and who gets the three hundred dollar ($300.00) fee.
Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller informed Mr. Cholasinski that
previously the City was not enforcing the Transient Merchants
license as it had some problems. However, the licensing ordinance
has been revised and is now back in operation. Mrs. Mueller noted
that this license is required of Northern Indiana Gun & Outdoor
Shows, Inc, as a group event for merchants operating less than
sixty (60) days. This license is to protect the consumer to make
sure the event is being held in a safe place and to make sure the
City and the consumer know who to contact should there be any
problems.
Mr. Cholasinski inquired of other events taking place and wondered
if they had to be licensed as well. Mrs. Mueller reassured Mr.
Cholasinski that any event open to the public which has as its
main purpose to sell to the public will have to secure this type
