<br />IN -CONJUNCTION WITH 3-ON-3 CHARITY

<br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Jon Williams,
<br />Administrative Committee Chairperson, 1993 South Bend Gus
<br />Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, advised that the
<br />Committee would like permission to close the following
<br />streets and alleys in conjunction with the 1993 South Bend
<br />Gus Macker Tournament to be held on September 11 and 12,
<br />1993:
<br />Niles Avenue, between E. Washington Street and E.
<br />Colfax Avenue
<br />- Niles Avenue, between E. Colfax Avenue and E.
<br />Madison Street
<br />- Niles Avenue, between E. Madison Street and Cedar
<br />Street
<br />- Niles Avenue, between Cedar Street and Cresent
<br />Street
<br />- East LaSalle Street, between Hill Street and
<br />Sycamore Street
<br />- The north/south alley running between E. Washington
<br />Street and E. Madison Street and between Niles
<br />Avenue and Hill Street.
<br />Mr. Williams noted that the east/west streets, including E.
<br />Washington Street, E. Colfax Avenue, E. Madison Street and
<br />Cedar Street will remain open for east/west traffic only
<br />during the entire tournament weekend.
<br />Mr. Williams further noted that the above mentioned streets
<br />and alleys need to be closed from 5:00 p.m., Friday,
<br />September 10, 1993 through 12:00 midnight on Sunday,
<br />September 12, 1993.
<br />TO CLOSE FOSTER, FROM ST. VINCENT TO NAPOLEON, FOR BLOCK
<br />PARTY - AUGUST 28, 1993
<br />Ms. Lisa Murphy, 1118 Foster Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking
<br />Of Access to Public Right-of-way For A Party Or Similar
<br />Event, requesting that the 1100 block of Foster Street, from
<br />St. Vincent Street to Napoleon, be closed from 2:00 p.m. to
<br />10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 1993, for a block party.
<br />TO CLOSE WAYNE SOUTH, FROM THE ISLAND AT EAST WAYNE SOUTH. TO
<br />SUNNYSIDE - AUGUST 28, 1993
<br />Ms. Liz Peralta, 1313 E. Wayne Street South, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And
<br />Blocking Of Access to Public Right-of-way For A Party Or
<br />Similar Event, requesting that East Wayne South, from the
<br />island at East Wayne South to Sunnyside, be closed from 3:00
<br />P.M. to 9:00 p.m. for a block party.
<br />TO INSTALL ONE (1) HOLLOWSPUN POST STREETLIGHT ON THE PUBLIC
<br />RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 1067 RIVERSIDE DRIVE
<br />Mr. Roman Sysyn, 1067 Riverside Drive, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />requested permission to install one (1) hollowspun
<br />streetlight with an octagonal junior lantern on the northwest
<br />corner of the public right-of-way at 1067 Riverside Drive.
<br />Mr. Sysyn stated that the Historic Preservation Commission
<br />has approved his Certificate of Appropriateness on July 19,
<br />1993.
<br />Mr. Sysyn further noted that the octagonal hollowspun post is
<br />sixteen feet (161) high. The post will be set four feet (41)
