<br />Mueller made a motion that this Addendum be approved and executed.
<br />Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent
<br />to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by
<br />the Huntington Corporation, Bruce D. Huntington, President and
<br />Roger A. Johnson, Secretary/Treasurer. The Consent indicates that
<br />in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary
<br />sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to a
<br />parcel of land in the northwest quarter of Section 20, Township 38
<br />North, Range 3 East, being in Clay Township (Section 7 - Irongate
<br />Estates), the Owners of said parcel waive and release any and all
<br />right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future
<br />annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore,
<br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mrs.
<br />Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - QUALITY DRIVE PROJECT
<br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director,
<br />Division of Engineering, advised that on April 12, 1993, the Board
<br />received six (6) bids for the construction of Quality Drive in the
<br />Airport 2010 Development Area.
<br />Mr. Littrell further stated that he has reviewed the bids and
<br />found that the amounts of the bids agree with the amounts read at
<br />the Board meeting. Therefore, Mr. Littrell recommends that the
<br />Board award the low bid of Small, Inc., 25190 State Road 4, North
<br />Liberty, Indiana, in the amount of 1241,461.00. It is noted that
<br />the Department of Economic Development concurs with this
<br />recommendation. It is further noted that this project is funded
<br />by that Department and by an Industrial Development Grant from the
<br />State of Indiana. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Mueller
<br />seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - BLACKTHORN GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE FACILITY
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, informed
<br />the Board that on March 22, 1993, the Board received two (2) bids
<br />for the construction of a maintenance facility for the Blackthorn
<br />Golf Course in the Airport 2010 Development Area. The bids
<br />submitted were one lump sum for the completed facilities, plus
<br />three (3) alternates. After reviewing the bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />indicated that he found that the amounts of the bids agree with
<br />the amounts read at the Board meeting. Therefore, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the construction contract to the
<br />low bidder on the base bid plus alternate 1A, Ziolkowski
<br />Construction, Inc., 1005 South Lafayette Street, P.O. Box 1106,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $261,908.00. The Department
<br />of Economic Development and the golf course developer, North
<br />American Golf, concur with this recommendation. Mr. Caldwell made
<br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - COMPUTERS AND PERIPHERALS
<br />Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, advised the Board that based on
<br />his department's analysis of the result of the bids which were
<br />received on March 15, 1993, for computers and peripherals, awards
<br />for the following items are being recommended at this time:
