REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 4, 1993 <br />00 <br />1 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:34 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 1993, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski and Mr. James R. Caldwell <br />present. Board Attorney and Member Mrs. Mary H. Mueller was not <br />in attendance. Also present was Chief Assistant City Attorney <br />Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on December 21, 1992, were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - TWENTY-FOUR (24), MORE OR LESS, 1993 POLICE <br />PATROL AUTOMOBILES, ONE (1) 1993 1-TON 12 PASSENGER SPORTS VAN <br />AND ONE (1) 1993 3/4 TON CARGO VAN <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />GATES CHEVROLET CORPORATION <br />401 South Lafayette Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Charles J. Lindzy, Fleet Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment form was completed and a ten per cent (10%) <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: <br />Twenty-four (24) 1993 Chevrolet Caprice four door sedans, <br />115.9" WB as per specifications on file with any <br />exceptions noted below: <br />Net Price Each: $ 12,454.31 <br />Net Price Twenty-four (24) Units: $298,903.44 <br />Add for Four (4)'Units with power seat: $ 1,012.60 <br />NET BID: $299,916.04 <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Spotlite is 611. <br />2. Wheel covers are Chevrolet standard. <br />One (1) 1993 Chevrolet 12 passenger sport van as per <br />specifications on file, with any exceptions noted below: <br />Net Price Each: $ 15,012.86 <br />NET BID: $ 15,012.86 <br />One (1) 1993 Chevrolet 3/4 ton cargo van as per <br />specifications on file, with any exceptions noted below: <br />Net Price Each: $ 11,551.18 <br />NET BID: $ 11,551.18 <br />JORDAN MOTORS <br />609 East Jefferson <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />Bid was signed by Ms. Peggy Tuttle, Non -Collusion <br />Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment <br />form was completed and a ten per cent (10%) Bid Bond was <br />submitted. <br />BID: <br />
