REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 14. 1994 7) That this resolution will be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Board. Adopted this 14th day of November, 1994. Jacob, Clerk REQUEST TO RE -ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - REMODELING OF CENTURY CENTER - PROJECT NO. 94-83 Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director of Engineering, has submitted a request to advertise for the receipt of bids for remodeling of Century Center. Further, Mr. Littrell noted that subsequent to the pre -bid meeting held November 7 for this project, potential bidders have asked for an extension of time to prepare their bids. Additionally, Mathews-Purucker-Anella, Inc., the Project Architect, has recommended the extension in the interest of receiving the best possible proposals. The December 6, 1994 date is within the period already allotted for review of the bids and award of the contract, and the change will not result in delays in construction. Mr. Caldwell made a motion to approved the request. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST TO SELL REAL PROPERTY Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mrs. Jenny Manier, Assistant City Attorney, has submitted a request for Sale of Real Property, commonly known as 51240 Redwood Road. Further, Ms. Manier recommends that the Board offer for sale to the highest and best bidder the following property, located adjacent to the Elbel Golf Course, in St. Joseph County, Indiana: Lot #3, as shown on the recorded Plat of Redwood Road Minor Subdivision, recorded September 9, 1994, in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, as Instrument No. 9434478. Additionally, Mrs. Manier stated that the Board will conduct a public hearing on the proposed sale on December 12, at which time interested parties and members of the public may speak. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request was approved. REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - MISCELLANEOUS GOLF COURSE EQUIPMENT FOR BLACKTHORN GOLF COURSE Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that Mr. James Riggs, Blackthorn Project Manager, has submitted a request to advertise for the receipt of bids for miscellaneous golf course equipment for Blackthorn Golf Course. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request was approved. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following Certificate of Insurance was accepted for filing: Leander Rossi Corporation 4325 Michigan Rosemant, Illinois APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $1,020,644.46 and recommended approval. Mrs. Manier made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
