fk1,71 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 31, 1994 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 1994, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Bruneel. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, an agenda item for a Project Completion Affidavit and Change Order for Blackthorn Golf Course was added. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on October 24, 1994, were approved. PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - TRANEX CAR SALES Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing regarding the license application for a Transient Merchants license for Tranex Car Sales, Inc. d/b/a/ Va1Car Rental Car Sales, 5074 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, as submitted by Ms. Sharon H. Drybrough. It is noted that Ms. Drybrough has applied for this license in order to conduct a used car sale on Wednesday, November 9, through Friday, November 11, 1994, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 12, 1994, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is noted that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this license application from the Fire Department, Police Department and the St. Joseph County Building Department. There being no one else present to address the Board concerning this matter and no written Memorandum in support of or in opposition to the issuance of the license being received, Mr. Leszczynski closed the Public Hearing on this matter. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the application be referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a license. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. OPENING OF BIDS - ABANDONED VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient.
