fk1,71 <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 31, 1994 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, October <br />31, 1994, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell <br />and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Bruneel. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, an agenda item <br />for a Project Completion Affidavit and Change Order for Blackthorn Golf Course was added. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of the Board held on October 24, 1994, were approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - TRANEX <br />CAR SALES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing regarding the <br />license application for a Transient Merchants license for Tranex Car Sales, Inc. d/b/a/ Va1Car Rental <br />Car Sales, 5074 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, as submitted by Ms. Sharon H. Drybrough. <br />It is noted that Ms. Drybrough has applied for this license in order to conduct a used car sale on <br />Wednesday, November 9, through Friday, November 11, 1994, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and <br />Saturday, November 12, 1994, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />It is noted that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this license <br />application from the Fire Department, Police Department and the St. Joseph County Building <br />Department. <br />There being no one else present to address the Board concerning this matter and no written <br />Memorandum in support of or in opposition to the issuance of the license being received, Mr. <br />Leszczynski closed the Public Hearing on this matter. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that <br />the application be referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a license. Mr. <br />Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient.
