REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 17, 1994 <br />Bid Price, F.O.B. Destination $70,499.00 <br />Exceptions: Electrical: Electrical system is 24 volt; however, a 12 volt <br />converter will be supplied to allow operation of radios and/or <br />other in -cab 12-volt equipment. <br />Blade: Cutting edges are replaceable, not reversible. <br />Warranty: The 48 hour parts guarantee is as follows: For a period of two <br />(2) years or 4,000 hours, whichever occurs first, if the unit is <br />down for more than 48 hours due to a parts backorder, <br />Newman Equipment, Inc. will, at its choosing, provide the <br />parts free or provide a replacement machine to use at no <br />charge until the parts are delivered. This time will be counted <br />only during the standard work week (i.e. Monday through <br />Friday; Saturday, Sunday, and legal holidays are excluded). <br />This special guarantee does not include the following items: <br />- Complete major power train components such as engine, <br />transmission, torque converter, etc. (Note: repair parts for <br />these parts are not excluded, only the entire assembly if it is <br />required). <br />- Major structural members such as frame, circle, sheet metal, <br />etc. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to the Division of Equipment Services for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT RADIO SYSTEM UPGRADE: <br />THREE 3) UHF REPEATERS WITH FIVE (5) SATELLITE RECEIVERS EACH. ONE (1) <br />STAND -ALONG UHF REPEATER AND ONE(l) SIMPLEX UHF CHANNEL FOR MOBILE <br />USE ONLY <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />D & L COMMUNICATIONS <br />3512 Cavalier Drive <br />Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Bruce A.
