REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 25, 1994 <br />OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LETTER CARRIERS TO CONDUCT <br />INTERSECTION SOLICITATIONS - AUGUST 21, 1994 <br />Ms. Stephanie Santos, District Director, Muscular Dystrophy <br />Association, 112 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, <br />requested, on behalf of the National Association of Letter <br />Carriers Branch #330, permission to conduct intersection <br />solicitations on Sunday, August 14, 1994, from 11:00 a.m. to <br />3:00 p.m. at the following intersections: <br />1. Ironwood and Edison <br />2. Miami and Ireland <br />3. Lincolnway East and Twyckenham <br />Ms. Santos noted that a rain date of Sunday, August 21, 1994, <br />has been set. <br />FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 118 SOUTH <br />ILLINOIS <br />Mr. Leon Dodd, 118 South Illinois, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested that the parking space in front of his residence be <br />designated as a handicapped parking space. Mr. Dodd noted <br />that he suffers from heart problems and needs to be able to <br />park near his home. <br />OF PANZICA CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO OCCUPY THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF- <br />WAY AT 814 SOUTH MAIN STREET <br />Mr. Thomas C. Panzica, Vice-President/Project Manager, <br />Panzica Construction, Inc., 422 East Monroe Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, advised that as part of new construction at <br />Schafer Gear Works, Inc., 814 South Main Street, it will be <br />necessary to occupy and restrict access to the fourteen foot <br />(141) north/south alley behind the building for construction <br />of the new foundations, masonry walls and a dock retaining <br />wall. This is the alley which runs between Sample Street and <br />the former, now vacated, section of Tutt Street. <br />In order to excavate for this work, a portion of the brick <br />alley, approximately five feet (51) by seventy feet (701) <br />will need to be removed and later restored to its original <br />condition. Scaffolding may also be erected in the alley for <br />masonry work. These activities will require closure of the <br />alley for approximately one hundred twenty (120) days. <br />TO CLOSE WALL STREET, FROM TWYCKENHAM TO SUNNYSIDE, FOR <br />ANNUAL WALL STREET BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 20, 1994 <br />Mr. Steve Schwab, on behalf of the Wall Street Association, <br />741 South Twyckenham, South Bend, Indiana, submitted to the <br />Board an Application For Use Of and Blocking Of Access To <br />Public Right -of -Way For A Party Or Similar Event, requesting <br />that Wall Street, from Twyckenham to Sunnyside, be closed <br />from 12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 1994 <br />for the Annual Wall Street block party. <br />TO CLOSE FOSTER STREET, FROM NAPOLEON BLVD. TO ST.
