17.3 <br />U <br />1 <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 11, 1994 <br />ITEM NO. 2 - CHAIRS (61) <br />Unit Price: $136.04 <br />Total: $8,298.44 <br />TOTAL AMOUNT OF AWARD: $8,298.44 <br />Mr. Riggs noted that all items combined are $20,256.84 which is <br />well below the amount budgeted for furnishings. <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be <br />accepted and the bids be awarded. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 10-1994 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN <br />PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY INDIANA <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board for <br />consideration is Resolution No. 10-1994 which transfers twenty- <br />eight (28) county owned properties to the City of South Bend. <br />Board Attorney Mrs. Anne Bruneel informed the Board that the City <br />is acquiring these properties from the St. Joseph County tax sale <br />at one dollar ($1.00) each plus recording costs. It was noted <br />that these properties are being acquired on the request of the <br />Department of Community and Economic Development. Therefore, Mr. <br />Caldwell made a motion that this Resolution be adopted. Mrs. <br />Manier seconded the motion which carried and the following <br />Resolution No. 10-1994 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10-1994 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS <br />OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana, (hereinafter, the <br />"County") is the owner of various parcels of land within the City <br />of South Bend, which were obtained by the County pursuant to the <br />tax sale process; and <br />WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of County real estate <br />is vested in the County's Board of Commissioners pursuant to I.C. <br />36-2-3.5-4; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter, the <br />"City") desires to obtain ownership of 28 such parcels of property <br />for community and economic development purposes, which parcels are <br />described more particularly as follows: <br />Key Number Address Legal <br />18-1044-1895 125 Spruce Lot 95 in Commissioners <br />Subdivision of Bank Outlot 79 <br />to the City of South Bend <br />18-1044-1896 121 Spruce Lot 94 in Commissioners <br />Subdivision of Bank Outlot 79 <br />to the City of South Bend <br />18-3055-2152 229 South Chapin Lot 9 of Thomas Subdivision of <br />Bank Outlot 74 to the City of <br />South Bend, 47 feet on the <br />North side excepting the <br />westerly 12 feet <br />18-7001-0022 916 South Michigan A parcel 22 feet north/south by <br />150 feet east/west, beginning <br />
