159 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MARCH 29, 1994 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />1:04 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 1994, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. <br />Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Anne Bruneel. <br />OPENING OF BIDS <br />- EXHIBITRY - COLLEGE <br />FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME <br />PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski <br />advised that this was <br />the date set for the opening <br />of sealed bids <br />for the above referred <br />to project. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice which appeared in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News. The following bids <br />were opened and <br />read: <br />RATHE PRODUCTIONS, INC. <br />555 West 23rd Street <br />New York, New York 10011 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Robert Rathe, President. Non - <br />Collusion Affidavit was in order and a five per cent (5%) <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: <br />Lump Sum: $1,397,983.00 <br />Alternate No. 1 Add $ 26,100.00 <br />Alternate No. 2 Add $ 9,450.00 <br />Alternate No. 3 $ 4,440.00 <br />Alternate No. 4 $ 11,970.00 <br />Alternate No. 5 $ 13,995.00 <br />Alternate No. 6 $ 9,690.00 <br />Alternate No. 7 $ 16,517.00 <br />Alternate No. 8 $ 2,850.00 <br />Alternate No. 9 $ 8,111.00 <br />Alternate No. 10 $ 3,385.00 <br />Alternate No. 11 $ 10,700.00 <br />Alternate No. 12 $ 8,180.00 <br />Voluntary Alternates: <br />Rathe Productions indicated that they feel that during <br />the value engineering stage of the contract they can <br />realize savings.
