REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 28, 1994 <br />4. <br />Fire <br />Station <br />#6 <br />4302 West Western Avenue <br />5. <br />Fire <br />Station <br />#7 <br />1616 Portage Avenue <br />6. <br />Fire <br />Station <br />#9 <br />2520 Mishawaka Avenue <br />7. <br />Fire <br />Station <br />#10 <br />308 West Ireland Road <br />It was noted that Fire Chief Luther Taylor has reviewed this <br />request and recommends approval. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made. <br />a motion that this request be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: NO PARKING - TOW ZONE <br />LOCATION: NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY BETWEEN SOUTH <br />BEND TRIBUNE AND 1ST SOURCE BANK - <br />WEST SIDE <br />REMARKS: TO IMPROVE SIGHT DISTANCE FOR CARS <br />USING THE BANK. <br />APPROVE SECONDHAND DEALERS LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the following secondhand dealers <br />license application has been received: <br />NAME: RED'S PAWN SHOP, INC. <br />BY: Stephen A. Krupnik <br />ADDRESS: 1072 Lincolnway East <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Unredeemed pledges <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department concerning the above application. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the following Contractors Bond were approved and/or <br />released as recommended: <br />- Paul E. Geans Concrete Contractor Release Eff. 2-28-94 <br />- Ted Temple, d/b/a Temple Contractors Release Eff. 4-29-94 <br />- Batteast Construction Company, Inc. Release Eff. 4-30-94 <br />- Reese & Sons, General Contractor Release Eff. 2-28-94 <br />- Batteast Construction Company, Inc. Approved Eff. 2-28-94 <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, a Certificate of Insurance for Warner & Sons, Inc., P.O. <br />Box 87, Elkhart, Indiana, was accepted for filing. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted two (2) lists containing twenty-seven (27) City <br />owned and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned by the <br />Department from February 14, 1994, to February 17, 1994. Mr. <br />Caldwell made a motion that the lists as submitted be accepted for <br />filing. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
