Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment <br />Services, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of <br />bids for twenty-five (25), more or less, 1994 Police Patrol <br />vehicles. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this request be <br />approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF VFW POST 1167 TO CONDUCT POPPY DAY SALES - MAY 13-14, <br />1994 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. George Grenert, Quartermaster, <br />V.F.W. Post 1167, 1047 Lincolnway East, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested permission to conduct their annual Poppy Day Sales on <br />the sidewalks throughout the City on Friday and Saturday, May 13th <br />and 14th. The purpose of the sale is securing funds for welfare <br />and relief work among widows and orphans of veterans. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF: NO PARKING <br />LOCATION: 304 South Main Street <br />REMARKS: Remove forty feet (401) of no <br />parking after the book depository is <br />moved to Wayne Street. This will <br />extend the one (1) hour parking <br />zone. <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: NO PARKING <br />LOCATION: 122 West Wayne Street <br />REMARKS: Forty feet (401) of no parking for <br />the library to install the book <br />depository.
