REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 25. 1995 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 1995, by Board Member James R. Caldwell, with Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Board President John E. Leszczynski was not present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Brunel. AGENDA ITEM STRICKEN Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, an agenda item to award bids for the 1995 Sewer Lining Program was stricken from the agenda. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on September 18, 1995, were approved. PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - "FESTIVAL LATINO" Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning an Application for a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Ms. Sara Haber, El Buen Vecino Inc., 404 South Walnut, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct "Festival Latino", on Sunday, October 1, 1995, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Pulaski Park. Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Fire Department and the Building Commissioner. There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Application for Tranisent Merchant License was approved. PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - MARKETPRO Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning an Application for a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Ms. Jeanette Winton, 9912 Inglemere Drive, Bethesda, Maryland, to conduct the sale of computer software and hardware at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds, on Sunday, October 8, 1995, from 6:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Fire Department and the Building Commissioner. There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Application for Transient Merchant License was approved. OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - MAIN STREET AND MONROE STREET INTERSECTION - SIDEWALK AND CURB REPAIRS - PROJECT NO.95-82 Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for the above referred to project. The following Quotations were opened and read: KASER SPRAKER CONSTRUCTION INC 25487 West State Road 2 South Bend, Indiana 46619 Quotation was submitted by Mr. Gary L. Spraker, President QUOTATION: $14,628.00 MCINTRYE JONES CONSTRUCTION CO. INC. 2526 West Sixth Street Mishawaka, Indiana Quotation was submitted by Mr. Kenneth A. McIntrye, Chairman of the Board QUOTATION: $155474.40
