Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT GRIT CHANNEL REBUILD - <br />PROJECT NO. 95-75 <br />Mr. Jack Dillon, Director, Division of Environmental Services, advised the Board that on August <br />28, 1995, bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those <br />bids, Mr. Dillon recommends that the Board award the contract to Bearing Headquarters, 1625 <br />Commerce Drive, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $24,902.67. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made <br />a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mrs. <br />Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMER YOUTH GRANT <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the Riley High School Peer Mediation, for the preparation of a two day combined training session <br />for Riley and Washington High School youth involved in the Peer Mediation/conflict training <br />program to offer students an alternative method to resolve conflicts using students as mediators. Mr. <br />Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $2,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
