REGULAR MEETING I JULY 3. 1995 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 1995, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Board Member James R. Caldwell and Board Attorney Anne Bruneel were not present. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, an Agenda item for a Contractor Bond was added to the Agenda. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on June 26, 1995, were approved. PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning the issuance of a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Mr. Joseph R. Gargano, 1701 Granvia Altamire, Palos Verdes Estates, California, to conduct a trade show at the Holiday Inn - Downtown, on Friday, July 14, 1995, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., to conduct the sale of Disney collectibles. Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations were received from the Police Department, Fire Department and the Building Commissioner. There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, theLicense Application was approved, and forwarded to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a Transient Merchant License. OPENING OF BIDS - ABANDONED VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to abandoned vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient.
