REGULAR MEETING MAY 15. 1995 REQUESTS REFERRED: Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following requests were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for review and recommendation: - TO CONDUCT A PROCESSION - FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI In a letter to the Board, Reverend Leonard F. Chrobot, Pastor, Saint Adalbert Parish, 2520 West Huron Street, South Bend, Indiana, submitted a request to conduct a procession on Saturday, June 17, 1995, between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. - TO CLOSE STREET - ANNUAL FIELD DAY FOR ST. MATTHEW'S SCHOOL In a letter to the Board, Ms. Susan Clark, St. Matthew Cathedral School, 1015 East Dayton, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close the 1000 block of Dayton Street, on Tuesday, June 6, 1995, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., to conduct their annual field day for their students. RESCIND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TRACK LIGHTING - COLIP ELECTRIC Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Construction Contract for Colip Electric, 714 East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, was rescinded. It was noted that this Contract was awarded for track lighting, and a Contract was not necessary. The bid form was signed, in lieu of a Contract. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following traffic control device was approved: NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign LOCATION: 127 North Elm REMARKS: Mr. Hopson has met all requirements APPROVE CONTRACTOR BONDS Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractor Bonds be approved as follows: Dennis Amos d/b/a A & J Poured Walls Approved Effective May 15, 1995 David Chokey Approved Effective May 15, 1995 Mrs. Manier made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved as outlined above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $862,640.38 and recommended approval. Ms. Ann Kolata, Department of Community and Economic Development submitted claims for the College Football Hall of Fame and recommended approved. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried.
