REGULAR MEETING MAY 15. 1995 <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />requests were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for review and recommendation: <br />- TO CONDUCT A PROCESSION - FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI <br />In a letter to the Board, Reverend Leonard F. Chrobot, Pastor, Saint Adalbert Parish, 2520 West <br />Huron Street, South Bend, Indiana, submitted a request to conduct a procession on Saturday, June <br />17, 1995, between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. <br />- TO CLOSE STREET - ANNUAL FIELD DAY FOR ST. MATTHEW'S SCHOOL <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Susan Clark, St. Matthew Cathedral School, 1015 East Dayton, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close the 1000 block of Dayton Street, on Tuesday, June 6, <br />1995, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., to conduct their annual field day for their students. <br />RESCIND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TRACK LIGHTING - COLIP ELECTRIC <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Construction <br />Contract for Colip Electric, 714 East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, was rescinded. It was <br />noted that this Contract was awarded for track lighting, and a Contract was not necessary. The bid <br />form was signed, in lieu of a Contract. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />traffic control device was approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 127 North Elm <br />REMARKS: Mr. Hopson has met all requirements <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor Bonds be approved as follows: <br />Dennis Amos d/b/a A & J Poured Walls Approved Effective May 15, 1995 <br />David Chokey Approved Effective May 15, 1995 <br />Mrs. Manier made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved <br />as outlined above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $862,640.38 and <br />recommended approval. Ms. Ann Kolata, Department of Community and Economic Development <br />submitted claims for the College Football Hall of Fame and recommended approved. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. Mrs. <br />Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />
