REGULAR MEETING MAY 8, 1995 <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATIONS - TEMPORARY FENCING, STUDEBAKER <br />NATIONAL MUSEUM - PROJECT NO. 95-46 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations <br />for the temporary fencing for the Studebaker National Museum. The following Quotations were <br />opened and read: <br />ROYAL FENCE CORPORATION <br />59905 Crumstown Highway <br />North Liberty, Indiana 46554 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Clement C Wroblewski, III <br />QUOTATION: $7,772.00 <br />SCHUELL FENCE <br />22377 Adams Road <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Bruce G. McDougal <br />QUOTATION: $7,300.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above Quotations <br />were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. Mr. Carl P. Littrell, <br />Director, Division of Engineering, reviewed the quotations, and recommended to the Board that the <br />quotation be awarded to the low bidder, Schuell Fencing, 22377 Adams Road, South Bend, Indiana, <br />in the amount of $7,300.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. <br />Caldwell and carried, the quotation was awarded as outlined above. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS - PUBLIC WORKS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM - <br />ZONES 4, 56.7. 8, 11B AND I IC - PROJECT NO. 95-20 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on April 17, 1995, to Phend and <br />Brown, Post Office Box 218, Milford, Indiana, in the amount of $90,185.00 per Zone for Zones 4, <br />5, 6, 7 and 8, and $94,185.00 per Zone for Zones I IB and 11C for the above referred to project, a <br />Contract in said amount for each Zone was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Contracts were approved and <br />the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond <br />as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT - STUDEBAKER MUSEUM <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a Contract for the above referred to project <br />between the City of South Bend and Specialty Systems of South Bend, Inc., 1408 Elwood Avenue, <br />South Bend, Indiana. It is noted that this Contract is in the amount of $19,484.00. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Contract was <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVE ADDENDUM II- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />The following Community Development Addendum to a Contract was presented to the Board for <br />approval: <br />Police Patrol Activity Extends to 6/30/95 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to <br />Addendum was approved and executed. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
