0214 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 24, 1995 <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - CHALFANT HEIGHTS ENTRANCE SIGN INSTALLATION - <br />PROJECT NO. 94-97 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations <br />for the Chalfant Heights Entrance Sign installation. The following Quotations were opened and <br />read: <br />MARVIN A. CRAYTON CONSTRUCTION CO. INC. <br />305 South Lake Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Marvin Crayton, President <br />QUOTATION: $10,000.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above <br />Quotation was referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - SOUTH BEND DAM CANOE PORTAGE AND <br />PARK REPAIRS - PROJECT NO. 94-67 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on April 4, 1995, to Commercial <br />Diving Service, Inc., 1120 Rarig Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, in the amount of $284,496.00 for the <br />above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Contract was <br />approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials <br />Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - ORGANIC RESOURCES BUILDING ADDITION <br />AND VENTILATION UPGRADE - PROJECT NO.95-09 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on April 3, 1995, to Ziolkowski <br />Construction, Inc, 1005 South Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of <br />$174,850.00 for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for <br />Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, <br />the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and <br />Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE PROPOSAL - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br />STUDEBAKER MUSEUM - COLE ASSOCIATES <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal for the above referred to project, <br />as submitted by Mr. William E. Stilson, President, Cole Associates, 2211 East Jefferson, South <br />Bend, Indiana, to provide asbestos abatement management services for the Studebaker National <br />Museum. Mr. Stilson noted that total project estimated fees will be $3,650.00 Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES - STUDEBAKER MUSEUM - <br />COLE ASSOCIATES. <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement for Engineering Services to <br />prepare plans and specifications for the renovation of reopening the Studebaker Museum, as <br />submitted by Mr. William E. Stilson, President, Cole Associates, 2211 East Jefferson, South Bend, <br />Indiana. Mr. Stilson noted that a total project estimated fee will be $17,500.00. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Agreement was <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVE RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />recommendations were approved: <br />
