<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following
<br />requests were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for review and recommendation:
<br />- TO CONDUCT CROP WALK - CHURCH WORLD SERVICE
<br />Mr. Rob Ercoline, Church World Service, 54191 N. Ironwood, South Bend, Indiana, submitted a
<br />request to conduct an annual Crop Walk on Sunday, September 24, 1995, beginning at 2:00 p.m.,
<br />until 5:00 p.m.
<br />-TO CONDUCT "FIESTA MICHIANA" - LA CASE DE AMISTAD
<br />Mr. Christopher Nanni, LaCasa De Amistad, 746 South Meade, South Bend, Indiana, submitted a
<br />request to conduct "Fiesta Michiana", on Saturday, August 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the
<br />iMorris Civic Green.
<br />- TO RETAIN SIGNS AT 3575 PORTAGE - PEIRCE & ASSOCIATES
<br />Mr. Michael Danch, Vice President, Peirce & Associates, 3231 Sugar Maple Court, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, submitted a request for permission to leave the existing free-standing signs for 3575
<br />Portage Road where they are presently located. Mr. Danch noted that their client, GMS Realty, Inc.,
<br />recently discovered that the existing free-standing signs were placed improperly by the sign
<br />company, which came to their attention after a survey was performed.
<br />TO CONDUCT "COALITION FOR RACE UNITY WALK" - COALITION FOR RACE UNITY
<br />Ms. Glenda Rae Hernandez, Coalition for Race Unity, 702 East South Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted a request to conduct a "Coalition for Race Unity Walk", on Sunday, May 21, 1995, from
<br />2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
<br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BONDS
<br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following
<br />Excavation Bonds be released as follows:
<br />David Zupsich Released Effective March 13, 1995
<br />Terry Horein Builder Released Effective March 13, 1995
<br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be release
<br />as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following
<br />traffic control device was approved:
