REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 20. 1995 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the following secondhand dealers license has been received: <br />NAME: Wholesale Surplus <br />BY: Mr. Jack Ford <br />ADDRESS: 922 S. Michigan Street <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Cabinets, Flooring <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded <br />by Mrs. Manier and carried, the license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's Office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BLOCK PARTY - RIVER PARK PARTNERSHIP <br />CENTER - 907 S. 31 ST STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received from the Police <br />Department, Division of Engineering and the City Attorney's Office, in reference to the request <br />for a block party, as submitted by Ms. Angela Jacob, President, River Park Neighborhood <br />Association. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />- POLYMERS - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />- ORGANIC RESOURCES BUILDING ADDITION AND VENTILATION UPGRADE - <br />PROJECT NO. 95-09 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the Organic Resources building addition and <br />ventilation upgrade. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will construct an addition to the <br />building at Organic Resources and upgrade the ventilation system. Further, the plans and <br />specifications are being prepared by Ken Herceg and Associates, and the Engineering Division <br />and the Legal Department are reviewing them. Additionally, Mr. Robert E. Toppel, Process <br />Specialist, Environmental Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />polymers for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Toppel noted that this bid process begins <br />with an advertisement to all potential bidders to perform laboratory bench test, which allows <br />the supplier to determine which polymer works best in this application. The polymer is tested <br />during a full scale trial run at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Each supplier who can meet the <br />minimum performance standards, as well as all other conditions of the trial, will be invited to <br />submit a bid for the supply of polymer. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the requests were approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS <br />- ORGANIC RESOURCES BUILDING ADDITION AND VENTILATION UPGRADE - <br />PROJECT NO. 95-09 <br />-ELBEL GOLF COURSE STORAGE FACILITY - PROJECT NO. 95-06 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheets for the above referred to projects were being <br />presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Title Sheets were approved and signed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />Certificate of Insurance was accepted for filing: <br />Reinhart's Landscaping <br />Post Office Box 282 <br />Decatur, Indiana 46733 <br />
