<br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 13. 1995
<br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:34 a.m. on Monday, February
<br />13, 1995, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell
<br />and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Bruneel.
<br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, an agenda item to
<br />open bids for two (2) 22' roll trucks and one (1) 20 yard refuse packer truck was added.
<br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the minutes of the
<br />regular meeting of the Board held on February 6, 1995, were approved.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - SHIPSHEWANA ON THE ROAD
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning a
<br />Transient Merchant License for "Shipshewana on the Road", to be held at the Century Center on
<br />March 3, 1995, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., March 4, 1995, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and
<br />March 5, 1995, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., to conduct the sale of clothing, jewelry, home
<br />decorations, housewares, crafts, toys, and wood furniture.
<br />Mr. Darrell D. Lepper and his wife, Julie A. Lepper was present, and informed the Board that this
<br />has been the second year that they have conducted this sale, and have had great success with it.
<br />Further, Mr. Lepper noted that over 10,000 people attended and they all enjoyed the show, and hope
<br />to continue this year. There being no one else present wishing to address the Board concerning this
<br />matter, the Public Hearing was closed.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the
<br />application for a Transient Merchant License was approved.
<br />OPENING OF BIDS - INTERIOR TRACK LIGHT FIXTURES - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL
<br />OF FAME
<br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to equipment.
<br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County
<br />News which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly read:

<br />Bid was signed by Mr. Albert M. Suter, Jr., Vice President

<br />Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed
<br />Ten per cent (10%) Bid Bond was submitted
<br />BID: $207,400.00
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above bid was
<br />referred to Gerard Hilferty & Associates, 14240 Route 550, Athens, Ohio, for review and
<br />recommendation.
