REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 3, 1995 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 1995, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Bruneel. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on December 19, 1994, were approved. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, an agenda item to approve the final inspection for the Twyckenham widening project was added. PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - HEIRLOOM IMAGES Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning an application for a Transient Merchant License for Heirloom Images, as submitted by Mr. Roger L. Smith, 8863 E. Black Point Road, Syracuse, Indiana, to conduct the sales of new and used home computer equipment, photographic equipment, dollhouses, dollhouse furnishings and assorted miniatures, at the Century Center Convention Hall, Sunday, February 19, 1995, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 18, 1995, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Fire Department, and the Building Commissioner. There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the application for Transient Merchant License was approved, and forwarded to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of the license. OPENING OF BIDS - NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP PUBLIC WORKS IMPROVEMENTS - DIVISION A - NORTHEAST PARTNERSHIP CENTER SERVICE AREA - PROJECT NO. 94- 62 - DIVISION B - RUM VILLAGE PARTNERSHIP CENTER SERVICE AREA - PROJECT NO. 94-63 This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: KASER SPRAKER CONSTRUCTION, INC. 25487 West State Road 2 South Bend, Indiana 46619 Bid was signed by Mr. Gary L. Spraker, President Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted L- It Division A - Northeast Partnership Center - Project No. 94-62 No Bid
