442 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1996 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 1996, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Brunel. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, an agenda item to Award Bids for Police Vehicles was added. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on October 7, 1996, were approved. OPENING OF BIDS - 1996 SEWER LINING PROGRAM - PROJECT NO. 96-66 This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: KENNY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY 250 Northgate Parkway Wheeling, Illinois Bid was signed by Mr. Gerald M. Kenny, President Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted BID: $368,600.00 REYNOLDS, INC. 4520 N. State Road 37 Orleans, Indiana 47452-0186 Bid was signed by Mr. Larry Purlee, Vice President Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted BID: $365,080.00 INSITUFORM MIDWEST, INC. 12897 Main Street Lemont, Illinois 60439 Bid was signed by Ms. Diane G. Bowers, Assistant Secretary Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted BID: $298,830.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation.
