REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 9.1996 <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - BLACKTHORN <br />GOLF CLUB CARTPATH ADDITIONS - PROJECT NO 96-69 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated <br />that this project will provide grading, excavation, asphalt paving, and landscaping to build additional <br />cartpaths at Blackthorn Golf Club, and funding is being provided by the Department of Community <br />and Economic Development. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. <br />Manier and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - LOCUST ROAD <br />SEWER AND ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE II - PROJECT NO 96-60 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated <br />that this project will provide excavation, grading, paving, sidewalks, curbs, approaches and sanitary <br />sewers for approximately 1500-1800 lineal feet on Locust Road in the City of South Bend, and <br />funding will be provided by Wastewater revenues. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />- FORTY (40) MORE OR LESS 1997 MID SIZE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE POLICE PATROL <br />VEHICLES <br />- ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN (115) MORE OR LESS 1997 FULL SIZE REAR WHEEL DRIVE <br />POLICE PATROL VEHICLES <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment <br />Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to vehicles. <br />Mr. Chlebowski stated that funding will be provided through a lease purchase plan. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request to advertise for <br />the receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVE CONSENTS TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of eight (8) Consents to Annexation and Waiver of <br />Right to Remonstrate, for the Dollar Lake area, as follows: <br />Jill Seifer <br />05-1049-0726 <br />59558 Spearmint Drive <br />Thomas/Elaine Katovscih <br />05-1035-0476 <br />Donald Paul <br />05-1035-047611 <br />59655 Market <br />Laszlo/Magdolna Hunyadi <br />05-1049-0720 <br />23765 Peppermint <br />Del Heusley <br />05-1035-045703 <br />59312 Mayflower <br />Linda Korkos <br />05-1049-0716 <br />59521 Spearmint <br />Linda Malstaff <br />05-1035-047611 <br />59655 Market <br />Dawn Carpenter <br />05-1035-045714 <br />The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public water system of the <br />City, to provide water service to each of the above listed properties, each individual waives and <br />releases any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the <br />property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the Consents be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following two (2) <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 206 South Kenmore <br />REMARKS: Mr. Milton Sanders has met all requirements <br />
