(19 r. <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 13,199 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:3 5 a.m. on Monday, May 13, <br />1996, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and <br />Mrs. Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne Bruneel. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of the Board held on May 6, 1996, were approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - LEEPER PARK ART FAIR <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning an <br />Application for a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Ms. Judy Ladd, 16200 Continental <br />Drive, Granger, Indiana, to conduct the sale of art work at Leeper Park, on Saturday, June 15, 1996, <br />from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 16, 1996, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mr. <br />Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, <br />Fire Department and the Building Commissioner. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Public Hearing <br />for this event was tabled from the May 6, 1996 meeting, as no representative from the Leeper Park <br />Art Fair was present. <br />Ms. Judy Ladd, 16200 Continental Drive, Granger, Indiana, was present and recommended approval. <br />There being no one else present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the Application for a Transient Merchant License was approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1) HEAVY DUTY 2 TON CAB & CHASSIS: ONE (1) HEAVY <br />DUTY 15-,000 GVWR CHASSIS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to equipment. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient.
