382 REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 15, 1997 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:34 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 1997, by Board Member James R. Caldwell, with Mr. Carl P. Littrell and Ms. M. Catherine Roemer present. Also present was Board Attorney Michelle Engel. ADD AGENDA ITEMS Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following items were added to the agenda: - Title Sheet - U.S. 31 Industrial Park - Project No. 97-82 - Request to Advertise for the Receipt of Bids - U.S. 31 Industrial Park - Project No. 97-82 APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on September 8, 1997, were approved. PUBLIC HEARING - LICENSE APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT - MARKETPRO COMPUTER SHOWS, INC. Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning a Transient Merchant License Application, as submitted by Ms. Jeanette Winton, MarketPro Computer Shows, Inc., 5870 Hubbard Drive, Rockville, Maryland, to conduct the sale of computer hardware, software and accessories on October 4 and 5, 1997, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Century Center, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Mark Bradley, Century Center, was present, and recommended approval. There being no one else present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Application for a Transient Merchant was approved. OPENING OF BIDS - OLIVE ROAD COMMERCE PARK - PROJECT NO. 96-17 This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: RIETH RILEY CONSTRUCTION CO.. INC. Post Office Box 1775 South Bend, Indiana 46634 Bid was signed by Mr. Christopher Weinkauf, Sales Manager Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted . M Base Bid: $290,601.50 Base Bid plus Alternate: $289,863.70 SMALL, INC. 25190 State Road 4 North Liberty, Indiana 46554 Bid was signed by Mr. Ronald N.
