Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION <br />HEART WALK <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a <br />request as submitted by Mr. Michael Cira, American Heart Association, 2410 North Grape Road, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana to conduct the above referred to walk, on Sunday, October 5, 1997 from 12:30 <br />p.m. until 4:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, <br />seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREETS - GUS MACKER 3-ON-3 <br />BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Deborah Burrow, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, 624 North Notre Dame Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to Gus Macker Basketball Tournament, on September 12, 13 <br />and 14, 1997, on the designated streets as submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded <br />by Mr. Littrell and canted, the recommendation was approved. <br />
