Caldwell, Member APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - 1997 GOOD NEIGHBORS/GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS. PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM -PROJECT NO. 97-19 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project is in its fourth year to assist resident homeowners improve the frontage on their properties. A total of $700,000 has been appropriated from the General Fund to make the improvements and to advance funding.to those who have chosen to participate in the no -interest loan program associated with the construction program. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) MORE OR LESS, TUB GRINDER In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matt Chlebowski, Director, Equipment Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to item. Mr. Chlebowski stated that the tub grinder will be used at the Organic Resources Facility, and funding will be through a lease purchase. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) MORE OR LESS, COMPACT SWEEPER In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Mr. Chlebowski stated that the sweeper will be used at the Park Department, and funding will be through the Park Department Capital Motor account. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a favorable recommendation from the Department of Code Enforcement for a License Application for a Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service, as submitted by Meyer Waste Systems, Inc., 809 Wabash Avenue, Chesterton, Indiana. It was noted that the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicles to be used in conjunction with this business, and have been approved. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECOND HAND DEALER Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand dealers license application has been received: Ethel Anderson Classic Boutique 1636 Lincolnway Sale of Used West Furniture Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license.
