<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Adell Badgett, 713 North Allen, Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party,
<br />on September 12, 1998, on Allen from Lindsey to the first alley. Upon a motion made by Ms.
<br />Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO CONDUCT JUNGLE BELL RUN FOR
<br />ARTHRITIS
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Jami Stamm, Arthritis Foundation, Post Office Box 2559, Elkhart,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to walk, on December S ' 1998, on the designated route as
<br />submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY -
<br />NIPSCO GIFT OF WARMTH
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Building Department, Fire Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Susan Lendman, NIP SCO, 307 North Michigan,
<br />South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to Gift of Warmth Sidewalk Sale, on October 2,
<br />1998, in front of 307 North Michigan, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell,
<br />seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT ADAMS HIGH SCHOOL
<br />HOMECOMING PARADE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Parl Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ptl. David Newton, Adams High School, 808 South Twyckenham, South
<br />Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to parade, on October 16, 1998, on the designated route
<br />as submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT C.H.E.E.T.A. WALK-A-THON
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Janice Hildabridle, 5002 Cedarwood Lane, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to walk, on September 27, 1998, on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CHANGE PARKING RESTRICTIONS - HIGH
<br />HOLY DAYS
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Dr. Harvey Weingarten, Sinai Synagogue, 1101 East LaSalle, South Bend, Indiana, to remove
<br />parking restrictions at 1102 East LaSalle Avenue on September 20, 21, 22 and 29, 1998, in
<br />conjunction with their High Holy Days. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms.
<br />Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT WALK ON THE WILD SIDE -
<br />POTOWATOMI ZOO
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Mike Dyszkiewicz, Potawatomi Zoo, to conduct the above referred to
<br />walk, on September 19, 1998, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
