REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 14, 1999 the Warren Township line, St. Joseph County, Indiana; thence south following said Warren Township line to the southwest corner of Lot 3 of said subdivision, thence east along the south line of said Lot 3 to the west right-of-way line of Olive Road; thence north along said line to a point of intersection with the north line, extended, of Wells Electronics Minor subdivision; thence east to the east right-of-way line of Olive Road, thence north along said line to the south line of the Olive Road Commerce Park Section One subdivision; thence west along said line to the west right-of-way line of Olive Road; thence north along said line to the point of beginning. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS/ RE -ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) MORE OR LESS, DISC TYPE CHIPPER In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director of Equipment Services, requested permission to reject bids received on August 10, 1998, for one (1) more or less, disc type chipper, and to re -advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Mr. Chlebowski stated that funding for this equipment is provided by the Park Department Capital Fund. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to reject bids and advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF REOUEST TO REJECT QUOTATIONS - EXTERIOR SIDING - FIRE STATION NO. 11 - PROJECT NO. 80-1998 In a letter to the Board, Chief Luther Taylor, Fire Department, requested permission to reject quotations submitted on August 31, 1998, for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the request was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS/RE-ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - LEIGHTON PLAZA FINISHES - PROJECT NO. 98-57-7 In a letter to the Board, Mr. David Mankowski, Calumet Construction, 3215 Sugar Maple Court, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to reject bids for the above referred to project, and rebid the project with modifications to progress schedule requirements and reassignment of responsibilities which would reduce overall project costs. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - BID PACKAGE 5_MISCELLANEOUS BID PACKAGES In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Fred Lusk, Verkler, 4406 Technology Drive, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF RELEASE OF DRAINAGE EASEMENTS - SOUTHFIELD SUBDIVISION Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, stated that the developers of this subdivision granted to the City of South Bend drainage easements located in Section One, Lot 2 and part of Lot 2A, and Section Two, Lot 3A. The Ingress -Egress Easements, which starts at the northwest corner of Lot 3A is no longer necessary due to Ridge Trail being extended to Miami Highway. Drainage, which was accomplished by the use of a 15 (fifteen) foot Utility Easement in Section Two, Lot 2 and a portion of 2A, is now being diverted to another Utility Easement nearby. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the Release of Drainage Easement was approved. APPROVAL OF GRANT OF EASEMENT (2) Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Grants of Easement were approved: Key No. 23-1040-2200 Robert King Key No. 23-1040-2201 Kevin and Melissa Whippo It was noted that these easements were in the area of Ironwood and Ridgedale, as described in the documents submitted.
