O S O <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 16, 1998 <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is desirous of extending the current signal maintenance <br />agreement for another year from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, the LaPorte District of the Indiana Department of Transportation is desirous of <br />extending the current signal maintenance agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend that the Signal Maintenance Agreement for Signals on State Highway Routes in Saint Joseph <br />County be renewed for another year, from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998. <br />ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1998. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/James R. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - MORRIS CIVIC <br />PERFORMING ARTS CENTER EXPANSION AND RENOVATION - BID PACKAGE A - <br />STRUCTURAL STEEL AND ERECTION - BID PACKAGE B - SCAFFOLDING <br />INSTALLATION AND RENTAL - PROJECT NO 98-25-2 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director of Engineering, requested permission to <br />advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that funding for <br />this project will be paid for by bond issue by the Redevelopment Commission. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the <br />receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -1998 COMPUTER <br />BIDS <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr Bob Allen, Division of Administration and Finance, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to items. Mr. Allen stated that <br />funding for these items will come from each department's Capital Funds. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt <br />of bids was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following three (3) <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />New Installation - Handicap <br />1514 N.
