11 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor and Excavation Bonds be approved as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />D & D Concrete, Inc. <br />52388 Silver Leaf Court <br />Granger, Indiana 46530 <br />Bond No.: 5790039 <br />James H. Fogarty <br />3705 West Ford Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bond No.: 24142765 <br />EXCAVATION BONDS <br />James H. Fogarty <br />3705 West Ford Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bond No.: 24142764 <br />Mr. Powell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved <br />as outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $2,328,647.77 and <br />recommended approval. Additionally, Workforce Development Services submitted claims in <br />amounts of$315,043.07 and $318,662.45, and the St. Joseph County Housing Consortium submitted <br />claims totaling $93,437.00. Mr. Powell recommended separate approval and made a motion that the <br />claims be approved and the reports be filed as submitted. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion, which <br />carried. <br />TRANSIENT MERCHANTS LICENSE HEARING <br />Today was the day set for the public hearing for the transient merchants license for Elinor Tyl, who <br />submitted application for the 8' Annual Kris Kringle Craft Show on November 28, 1999. Ms. Billie <br />Bond, representative for Elinor Tyl was present. Therefore, upon motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />seconded by Mr. Powell, and carried, the transient license was approved. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />J mes R. well, President <br />Lewis N.
