14PON-4 <br />Ul <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 16. 1999 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION = TO CLOSE WAYNE STREET FROM ST. JOSEPH TO <br />MICHIGAN - TAILGATE PARTY <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering and the Police Department in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Julius Cheney, <br />Finnigans Pub, 113 East Wayne, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to tail gate <br />party, on August 27, 1999, from 6:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, <br />seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVE IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT• <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, submitted the following Irrevocable <br />Standby Letter of Credit to the Board and recommended approval: <br />IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO. 99-20 <br />ISSUED BY: Lake City Bank <br />FOR: Coker Construction <br />AMOUNT: $54,362.00 <br />IMPROVEMENT: Public Improvements for Mayflower 10' Addition <br />Ms. Roemer made a motion that the Letter of Credit, as outlined above, be approved. Mr. Powell <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following traffic <br />control devices were approved: <br />New Installation - Stop Sign <br />Jackson & Finch <br />"T" Intersection <br />New Installation - Stop Sign <br />27/Pleasant & 28 h <br />New Nuner School <br />Pleasant <br />New Installation - Handicap <br />126 Fox <br />Mr. Mohlman has met requirements <br />Sign <br />New Installation - Handicap <br />1137 North Meade <br />Ms. Lewis has met all requirements <br />Sign <br />New Installation - Handicap <br />1011 South 30'h <br />Ms. Lake has met all requirements <br />Sign <br />New Installation - County <br />130 South Main, <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />Police Parking Only Signs <br />East Side, <br />seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, this <br />Jefferson, South <br />Traffic Control Device was tabled, pending <br />Side, Main to Alley <br />further information. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the following Certificates <br />of Insurance were accepted for filing: <br />Premier Excavating, Inc.
