REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 1999 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:38 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 1999,. by Board President James R. Caldwell, with Mr. Lewis N. Powell and Ms. M. Catherine Roemer present. Also present was Board Attorney Michelle Engel. AGENDA ITEMS ADDED/TABLED Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, a Construction Contract for the Southeast Neighborhood Redevelopment was added to the agenda, and a Lease Agreement for the Northeast Neighborhood Council was tabled. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on June 7, 1999, were approved. PUBLIC HEARING - TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - VALLEY WATERCOLOR SOCIETY Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Mr. James Ferm, 1326 East Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the sale of arts and crafts at Leeper Park, on June 26 and 27, 1999. Favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Fire Department, Building Commissioner and the Legal Department. Mr. James Ferm, 1326 East Indiana, South Bend, Indiana, was present, and recommended approval. There being no one else present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License Application was approved. OPENING OF BIDS - SCADA SYSTEMS OPERATOR INTERFACE REPLACEMENT - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - PROJECT NO. 99-15 This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient.
