REGULAR MEETING MAY 3, 1999 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, May 3, <br />1999, by Board President James R. Caldwell, with Mr. Lewis N. Powell and Ms. M. Catherine <br />Roemer present. Also present was Board Attorney Michelle Engel. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the following agenda <br />items were added: <br />- Recommendation Alley Vacation - Western & South Sheridan <br />- Excavation Bond - Verkler, Inc. <br />- Disbursement Authorization - Norwest Bank - North America Construction <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of the Board held on April 26, 1999, were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - ACOUSTICAL CONCERT <br />SHELL SYSTEM - PROJECT NO. 98-25-6A <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />WENGER CORPORATION <br />555 Park Drive <br />Owatonna, Minnesota 55060 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Vern O. White <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non -Discrimination Commitment form was not completed <br />Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $125,000.00 <br />$169,000.00 (Voluntary Alternate) <br />SECOA, INC. <br />8650 109th Avenue North <br />Champlin, Minnesota 55316 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. James Kunz <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non -Discrimination Commitment form was not completed <br />Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $186,200.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to the Morris Performing Arts Center and Verkler, Inc. for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - AUDIO VIDEO SYSTEMS - <br />PROJECT NO. 98-25-6B <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project.
