<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above Quotations
<br />were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS TABLED - DEMOLITION SERVICES SOUTHEAST
<br />NEIGHBORHOOD REDEVELOPMENT - PROJECT NO. 99-12-1
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations
<br />for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer
<br />and carried, the opening of quotations for the above referred to project was tabled.
<br />AWARD BID - SECONDARY CLARIFICATION IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 98-18
<br />Mr. John J. Dillon, Director, Division of Environmental Services, advised the Board that on March
<br />22, 1999, bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. Ms.. Dillon advised the
<br />board that he has received approval to award the contract, from the Department of Environmental
<br />Management (IDEM). With the approval from (IDEM) Mr. Dillon recommends that the Board
<br />award the bid to Bowen Engineering Corporation, 10315 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana, in the
<br />amount of $5,529,300.00 . Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - PAINTING - PROJECT NO. 98-25-

<br />Mr. Fred Lusk, Verkler Inc., advised the Board that on April 19, 1999, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Lusk recommends that the
<br />Board award the contract to Forsey Construction, 2018 Ironwood Circle, South Bend, Indiana in the
<br />amount of $538,835.00. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - VANESS STREET SANITARY SEW UP, PUMP STATION AND FORCE MAIN
<br />PROJECT NO. 98-72 '
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, advised the Board that on April 19, 1999, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell recommends that
<br />the Board award the contract to Herrman & Goetz, 225 South Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana in the
<br />amount of $117,325.47. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - SHOWERLUX STRIVE - SANITARY SEWER - PROJECT NO. 94-95
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, advised the Board that on April 19, 1999, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell recommends that
<br />the Board award the contract to Small Inc., 25190 State Road 4, North Liberty, Indiana, in the
<br />amount of $192,773.00. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the recommendation be
