<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's .office; in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Adeline Jaskowiak, West Side Memorial, 727. South Illinois, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to.parade, on May 31, 1999, on the designated route as
<br />submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved. • .
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION_- TO.CONDUCT MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by, the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Greg Bennett, Memorial Hospital, 615 North Michigan, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to walk, on May 1, 1999, on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND TO ADVERTISE PUBLIC
<br />I1,TFORMATION MEETING - EAST BANK WALKWAY PHASE II - PROJECT NO. 98-86
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, stated that Lawson Fisher
<br />Associates has achieved a design winning the approval of the Indiana Department of Transportation,
<br />the South Bend Park Department and Community end Economic Development, as well as the
<br />Engineering Division, Mr. Littrell would like to submit the completed tracing of the plans to InDOT.
<br />Further, Mr. Littrell recommended that he Board approved the plans. Additionally, Mr. Littrell
<br />requested permission to hold a public information meeting to receive public comments about the
<br />design: Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request was
<br />approved. '
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - VANESS STREET
<br />- SANITARY- SANITARY SEWER, STATION AND FORCE MAIN - PROJECT NO. 98-72STATION AND FORCE MAIN - PROJECT NO. 98-72
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission• to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will
<br />construct sanitary sewer, pump station and force main in the area of Vaness Street and State Road
<br />23. Funding is provided from Sewage Works. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer,
<br />seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
