a `s' o oy REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 22, 1999 ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 6-1999 - TRADE-IN OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY ON PROPERTY OF SIMILAR NATURE Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell. and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 6-1999 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS APPROVING THE TRADE-IN OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY ON PROPERTY OF SIMILAR NATURE WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the following described property is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and should be traded -in for property of a similar nature: UNIT 351 - 1990 SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK VIN# IFDXK84ASLVA19690 UNIT 352.1990 - SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK . VIN# 1FDXK84A9LVA19689 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board.of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the following described property is of a sin -filar nature to the above -described property and should be traded with the above -described property: THREE (3) NEW DUMP TRUCKS (GATES CHEVROLET) TO BE PURCHASED AT A LATER DATE WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-9 authorizes the Board of Public Works to trade in or exchange It - City -owned property for partial or full reduction in the purchase price of property of similar nature. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AS FOLLOWS: ' l: The following described property shall be traded -in for the following described property of a similar nature: PROPERTY TO BE EXCHANGED: UNIT 351 - 1990 SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK VIN# IFDXK84ASLVA19690 UNIT 352 1990 - SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK VIN# 1FDXK84A9LVA19689 PROPERTY TO BE TRADED: THREE (3) NEW DUMP TRUCKS (GATES CHEVROLET) TO BE PURCHASED AT A LATER DATE 2. That the traded in or exchanged property, to wit: UNIT 351 - 1990. SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK VIN# IFDXK84ASLVA19690 UNIT 352 1990 - SHORT SIDED CONSTRUCTION DUMP TRUCK VIN# 1FDXK84A9LVA19689 shall be removed from the inventory of the City of South Bend.
