Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS- SECOND HAND DEALER <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand dealers license applications have been received: <br />NAME: <br />BY: <br />ADDRESS: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: <br />Harrison's Furniture & Treasures <br />Robert Harrison <br />1609 and 1809 Miami Street <br />New and Used Furniture <br />Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department <br />concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr.. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and <br />carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office <br />for issuance of a license. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE VARIOUS STREETS AND <br />,! ALLEYS <br />J Mr. Caldwell indicated thafthe Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by Ricardo Milton, American Home Dreams, 4201 St. Andrews Circle, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana to vacate the following streets and alleys:. . ' <br />Various streets and alleys bounded as follows: High Street on the east; Pennsylvania Avenue <br />on the north, Broadway Street on the south and Marietta Street on the West. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Area Plan noted that <br />one the properties adjacent to the vacation of Pennsylvania is not owned by the City. Should this <br />vacation be approved before the City owns this property, the property owner would be left with a lot <br />without any frontage or any access. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Board send a <br />favorable recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition.
