SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 16, 2000
- PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Mr. Mike Giulioni, Planning Department, was present, and presented an overview of the Downtown
Commercial Delivery Permit Program (CDP). Mr. Giulioni stated that the existing regulations
regarding downtown parking penalize some ofthe delivery -oriented businesses. The CDP Program's
purpose is to provide intermittent short-term.parking without penalization. A ninety (90) day pilot
program is projected. Under the program guidelines, no fee will be charged initially; designated
parking spaces will not be provided; and the term of the permit will be one (1) year. Enforcement
officers will be notified of permits and vehicles, and any complaints will be recorded with the Board
of Public Works. The Board of Public Works discussed the CDP Program, and found the program
would be a benefit to the downtown parking issue for businesses. Therefore, upon a motion made
by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the ninety (90) day pilot program was approved.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot,
seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
nATTEST:
J
Angela .
