<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred
<br />to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />APPROVAL OF ESCROW AGREEMENT - NEWMAN ALTMAN BUILDING DEMOLITION -
<br />BANK ONE AND KNAPP ENVIRONMENTAL - PROJECT NO. 100-010
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Escrow Agreement between the City of South
<br />Bend; Bank One, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Knapp Environmental, 12875 McKinley Highway,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana, for the above referred to project. It was noted that this project was in the
<br />amount of $460,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the Escrow Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - 2000 CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIRS - RIETH
<br />RILEY CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 100-27
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on June 19, 2000, to Rieth Riley
<br />Construction, 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $206,305.58 for the
<br />above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Contract was approved and the
<br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as
<br />submitted were filed.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - CLEVELAND ROAD ADDED TRAVEL LANES -
<br />KANKAKEE VALLEY CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 98-87
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on May 30, 2000, to Kankakee Valley
<br />Construction, Post Office Box 1471, LaPorte, Indiana, in the amount of $1,205,168.18 for the above
<br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Contract was approved and the
<br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as
<br />submitted were filed.
<br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - NEIGHBORHOOD GRANT AGREEMENT - GREENWICH
<br />YOUTH GROUP OF FAR NORTHWEST NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and
<br />the Greenwich Youth Group of the Far Northwest Neighborhood, South Bend, Indiana to visit the
<br />Indianapolis Children's Museum because of their community efforts and volunteerism to deliver food
<br />throughout the community to the soup kitchens, shelters and churches. Mr. Gilot noted that the
<br />Agreement is in the amount of $1,352.50. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded
<br />by Mr. Gilot and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
