REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 21, 2000 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works convened at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, February 21, <br />2000. The meeting was called to order by Board President M. Catherine Roemer, with Mr. Carl <br />Littrell present. Mr. Jeff Jankowski, Deputy City Attorney, was also present in the place of Michele <br />Engel, Board Attorney. <br />AGENDA CHANGES <br />Ms. Roemer advised the Board that the following item should be deleted from the agenda: <br />Item 6A - Escrow Agreement for Keifer Specialty Floors, Morris Performing Arts Center <br />Renovation & Excavation, Project No. 98-25-5.13 <br />APPROVE FEBRUARY 14 2000 MEETING MINUTES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, and seconded by Ms. Roemer, the February 14, 2000 minutes <br />were approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - RONALD DEWINTER <br />Ms. Roemer advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning Ronald <br />Dewinter's application for a massage establishment at 602 Lincolnway East. The Board received <br />favorable recommendations from the Police and Fire Departments and the Building Commissioner. <br />There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing <br />was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, <br />the license was approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - SANDRA DWIATKOWSKI <br />Ms. Roemer advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning Sandra <br />Dwiatkowski's application for a massage establishment at 2115 Miami. The Board received favorable <br />recommendations from the Police and Fire Departments and the Building Comnssioner. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Littrell and seconded by Ms. Roemer, the massage license was approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING -CENTRE TOWNSHIP LIONS CLUB <br />Ms. Roemer advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning the Centre <br />Township Lions Club's application for a Transient Merchants license at Scottsdale Mall from <br />November 250, 2000 to December 25f`, 2000 with the operating hours of 12:00 p.m. noon until 9:00 <br />p.m. Mr. Don Gilpin, President, of 1326 Norwich Court was present to represent the Lions Club. <br />He stated that the club has operated such business for twenty years as a non-profit fund-raiser, adding <br />that the cost of the license permit only takes from the funds they are able to use. The Board received <br />favorable recommendations from the Police and Fire Departments, the Building Commissioner, and <br />the City Attorney. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell and seconded by Ms. Roemer, the transient <br />merchant's license was approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING-DARRELL D. LEPPER <br />Ms. Roemer advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning Darrell D. <br />Lepper's application for a transient merchants license for the sale of clothing, jewelry, home <br />decorating items, housewares, etc. at the Century Center February 19`h and 20'h, 2000. Mr. Lepper <br />was present and advised the Board that the show went smoothly. The Board received favorable <br />recommendations from the Police and Fire Departments and the Building Commissioner. Michele <br />Engel, Board Attorney, offered a favorable recommendation and advised Mr Lepper to provide <br />insurance through February 20, 2000. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell and seconded by Ms. <br />Roemer, the transient merchant's license was approved. <br />PUBLIC HEARING -FRANK ROCHETTI <br />Ms. Roemer advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning Frank <br />Rochetti's application for a blanket transient merchants license for the St. Joseph 4-H Fair, Inc. for <br />the year 2000, renewable February 21, 2001. The Board received favorable recommendations from <br />the Police and Fire Departments and the Building Commissioner. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell <br />and seconded by Ms. Roemer, the blanket transient merchant's license was approved. <br />
