<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
<br />AGAINST CRIME WALK- BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Cynthia DeLeon, Westside Neighborhood Organization, 2202 West Huron, South Bend, Indiana, to
<br />close Huron from Phillipa to Carlisle on August 7, 2001, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT WALK - NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
<br />AGAINST CRIME WALK
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Ms. Lucy LaVine, Westside Neighborhood Organization, 2202 West Huron, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to walk on August 7, 2001, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30
<br />p.m. on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr.
<br />Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT INTERSECTION SOLICITATION -
<br />MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Stephanie Santos, Muscular Dystrophy Association, 314 West Catalpa, Mishawaka, Indiana, to
<br />conduct the above referred to intersection solicitation, on August 12, 2001, from 11:00 a.m. until
<br />3:00 p.m. at Miami and Ireland; Edison and Ironwood; and Lombardi and Western. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject
<br />to the participants wearing safety vests.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 4H FAIR PARADE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Rick Kring, St. Joseph County Fair, 5117 South Ironwood, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />to conduct the above referred to parade, on July 29, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m., on the
<br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />FILING OF QUARTERLY REPORT - BUREAU OF PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION 2001 PROJECT
<br />COMPLETION STATES - APRIL THROUGH JUNE 2001
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above referred to report
<br />was filed.
