REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11, 2001 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - FOX STREET FROM MIAMI TO MARINE - BLOCK PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Heath Dingman, 1139 East Fox, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on July 4, 2001, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BULLA FROM O'BRIEN TO JOHNSON - GRADUATION PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Cara Thomas, 1602 O'Brien, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on June 23, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE ALLEY - 21 ST STREET TO 20TH STREET - RIVER PARK LIBRARY PICNIC Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Victoria Gutschenritter, River Park Library, 2022 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to picnic on June 21, 2001, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - GARBAGE AND RUBBISH SERVICE Mr. Gilot stated that the following Garbage and Rubbish Service application has been received: NAME: Sylvester Mullins ADDRESS: 115 Cherry Street Mr. Gilot further advised that a favorable recommendation has been received by the Department of Code Enforcement concerning this application. Further, the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicle(s) to be used in conjunction with this business, and has found them to be satisfactory. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. APPROVE IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT: Mr. Tony Molnar, Division of Engineering, submitted the following Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit to the Board and recommended approval: IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO. 1 ISSUED BY: Sobieski Federal Savings & Loan FOR: Garden Place Subdivision AMOUNT: $50,616.00 EXPIRES: May 1, 2002 Mr. Gilot made a motion that the Letter of Credit, as outlined above, be approved. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 - IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT: Mr. Tony Molnar, Division of Engineering, submitted the following Amendment to an Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit to the Board and recommended approval: IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT NO.
