1 <br />REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 8, 2001 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, January <br />8, 2001, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Ms. M. Catherine Roemer and Mr. Donald E. Inks <br />present. Also present was Board Attorney Frank Schaffer. <br />ADD/TABLE AGENDA ITEMS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following items were <br />added/tabled: <br />- Contract - Fisheries Investigation - Tabled <br />- Excavation Bond - Slutsky Plumbing - Added <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of the Board held on December 26, 2000 and the special meeting held on January 3, 2001 <br />were approved. <br />ELECTION OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS PRESIDENT FOR YEAR 2001 <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, Mr. Gary A. Gilot was <br />elected President of the Board of Public Works for the year 2001. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - CENTURY CENTER - WALL HANGINGS - CONVENTION <br />HALL "A" AND "B" - PROJECT NO. 100-86 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referred to project. The following Quotation was opened and read: <br />AQUARIUS, INC. <br />135 East 144' Street <br />Bronx, New York 10451-5435 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Jim Belmont <br />QUOTATION: $49.42 per yard/Total of 590 yards <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotation was <br />referred to the Century Center for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mr. Gary Libbey, Department of Code Enforcement, advised the Board that on December 26, 2000, <br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to vehicles.
