Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and <br />carried, the Proposal was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR CANINE UNIT - "AYRO" <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />Corporal Scott Wilcox, South Bend, Indiana, to purchase a canine unit, "Ayro", who has been found <br />unfit for the purpose for which he was obtained. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount <br />of $1.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HIGH STREET FROM DUBAIL <br />TO DAYTON - COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police <br />Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Barbara <br />Murphy, 613 Monroe Circle, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on <br />September 14, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by <br />Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HUMBOLDT FROM OLIVE <br />TO FREMONT - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police <br />Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Lucille <br />Spaulding, 1145 North Olive Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block <br />party on September 14, 2002, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - DUBAIL FROM VERNON TO <br />CLYDE - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police <br />Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Kassidy <br />Abbott, 1351 East Dubail Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party <br />on September 14, 2002, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded <br />by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - WELLINGTON FROM FORD <br />DUNHAM -BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police <br />Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Curtis <br />Leonard, 721 South Wellington Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block <br />party on September 7, 2002, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HARRIS FROM WESTERN TO <br />HURON - BIRTHDAY PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police <br />Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Yvonne <br />Kaczmarek, 415 South Harris Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to birthday <br />party on September 7, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ECKMAN FROM RUSH TO <br />ERSKINE BOULEVARD - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Alberto <br />Vitale, 613 East Eckman, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on <br />September 15, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by <br />Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />
