APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR CANINE UNIT - "AYRO" Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Corporal Scott Wilcox, South Bend, Indiana, to purchase a canine unit, "Ayro", who has been found unfit for the purpose for which he was obtained. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $1.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HIGH STREET FROM DUBAIL TO DAYTON - COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Barbara Murphy, 613 Monroe Circle, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on September 14, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HUMBOLDT FROM OLIVE TO FREMONT - BLOCK PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Lucille Spaulding, 1145 North Olive Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on September 14, 2002, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - DUBAIL FROM VERNON TO CLYDE - BLOCK PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Kassidy Abbott, 1351 East Dubail Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on September 14, 2002, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - WELLINGTON FROM FORD DUNHAM -BLOCK PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Curtis Leonard, 721 South Wellington Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on September 7, 2002, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HARRIS FROM WESTERN TO HURON - BIRTHDAY PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police Department, and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Yvonne Kaczmarek, 415 South Harris Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to birthday party on September 7, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ECKMAN FROM RUSH TO ERSKINE BOULEVARD - BLOCK PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Alberto Vitale, 613 East Eckman, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on September 15, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
