<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - CAMPEAU STREET FROM
<br />EDDY STREET TO FRANCES STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Reverend
<br />Tim Rouse, 801 North Eddy Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on August 17, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr.
<br />Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - THOMAS STREET FROM
<br />MCPHERSON TO MAPLE STREET - BIRTHDAY PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Doris
<br />McGee,1103 West Thomas Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on August 3 and 4, 2002, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded
<br />by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - WALNUT STREET FROM
<br />FORD TO HURON - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr.
<br />Closido Aguilar, 609 South Walnut, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on July 27, 2002, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr.
<br />Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 2002 A.B.A.T.E. RIDE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Jim
<br />Dodd, 61500 Druid Lane, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to M.D.A. Ride on
<br />September 1, 2002, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Don Inks and carried, the License Application
<br />was tabled.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - INSTALLATION OF POLE/ BANNERS - CHAPIN
<br />STREET (EASEMENT) ADJACENT TO MUSEUM- NORTHERN INDIANA CENTER FOR
<br />HISTORY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department, Fire Department, Building Department, and the City Attorney's office, in
<br />reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Cheryl Taylor Bennett, Center For History, 808 West
<br />Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana, to install three (3) poles and two (2) banners in the
<br />easement along Chapin Street on the property adjacent to the museum. The structures will be in place
<br />from September, 2002 to August, 2003, for the Women In Sports Breaking Barriers Exhibition.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT H.C.I. FAMILY FUN WALK
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department, Traffic and Lighting Division, Park Department and the City Attorney's office,
<br />in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Eber, 401 East Colfax, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct
<br />the above referred to walk on August 10, 2002, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the designated route
<br />as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE VARIOUS STREETS - SKYFEST
<br />MICHIANA 2002 AIR SHOW- SOUTH BEND AIRPORT
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
