0065 1 1 REGULAR MEETING MARCH 25, 2002 APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - ROBERT BOSCH FACILITIES UPGRADE - PHASE I - KASER SPRAKER CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 101-046 Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, has submitted Change Order No. 9 on behalf of Kaser Spraker Construction, 25487 West State Road 2, South Bend, Indiana indicating that the Contract amount be increased $642.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $1,911,809.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Change Order was approved. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - ADDITIONAL SURVEY WORK - OLIVER PLOW WORKS SITE - DANCH HARNER & ASSOCIATES, INC. Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Danch, Harper & Associates, Inc., 2422 Viridian Drive, South Bend, Indiana, for additional survey work at the northwest corner of Chapin Street and Sample Street. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $6,212.50. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. _APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - ENGINEERING SERVICES - DRAINAGE CULVERT (a� IRELAND CROSSING Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Proposal between the City of South Bend and Lawson Fisher Associates, 525 West Washington, South Bend, Indiana, for the design of a drainage system for the Ireland Road crossing of an unnamed tributary to Clyde Creek located approximately 700 feet east of Ironwood Drive. Mr. Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the amount not to exceed $12,500.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed. APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND Mr. Anthony Molnar, Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Excavation Bond be approved as follows: EXCAVATION BOND The Fisher Company Approved Effective March 21, 2002 Pursuant to Res. No. 100-2000 Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Gilot stated that the following claims were submitted to the Board for approval: Name Amount of Claim Date City of South Bend $1,405,110.76 March 25, 2002 Ken Herceg & Associates (Public Works Service Center) $ 11,407.32 March 19, 2002 Casteel Construction (Public Works Service Center) $ 831,271.00 March 4, 2002 Mr. Gilot made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS - FOOD MANAGEMENT/CATERING SERVICES - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - PROJECT NO. 102-033 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Dennis Andres, Morris Performing Arts Center, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of proposals for the above referred to service. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of proposals was approved.
